As product titres increase it is necessary to reduce the burden on your depth filtration step. The Carr Unifuge utilises a single-use gamma irradiated module that requires no CIP or SIP. The entire fluid path is replaced after each run so that there is no risk of cross contamination. It has an extremely low sheer design meaning that there is almost no loss in viability through the centrifuge. As the cells are not lysed, cell debris is kept to a minimum making the UniFuge an excellent choice for both cell harvest and centrate clarification.

The single-use modules are tube weldable for connection to your bioreactor or bioprocess containers. The Unifuge is fully automatic meaning that your entire process step can be automated with separation and discharge steps taking place and being repeated at user configurable intervals.
